Assistant Digital Media Planner/Buyer

Join a great team at Broad Street Co.! We’re hiring an account manager and digital media buyer full time position in the Austin office.

Objectives of the Role: 
The Digital Media Planner is responsible for executing all day-to-day digital media planning, media buying and client service activities associated with assigned accounts.

The Digital Media Planner provides media planning recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving, both internally and externally, while maintaining successful client relationships. S/he prepares media plans and other deliverables, and executes media plan implementation.

Business Responsibilities: 

• Develop strategically solid media recommendations with supporting rationale
• Develop and execute media plans, set up media plan in ad server (Sizmek) and deliver ad tags to vendors and publishers
• Manage buy stewardship, analyze campaigns, and recommend tactical changes to maximize campaign performance
• Assist in analysis of research to develop strategies and tactics
• Work within analytics, trafficking, ad-serving, and finance to ensure successful campaign managment
• Manage day-to-day plan changes and maintenance of media plans
• Respond to competitive requests
• Research and compile competitive data
• Other responsibilities as assigned

 Skills and Behaviors:

• Strong understanding of ad serving (Sizmek preferred), Google Analytics, Google Adwords, SiteCatalyst (Google Certified Candidates Preferred, but not required)
• Knowledge of all aspects of Digital Media, including Search, SEO, SMM, Mobile etc.
• Basic understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
• Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
• Strong communication, project management and time management skills
• Advanced Excel skills, intermediate PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills

 Qualifications and other relevant information: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1+ years related experience

Media Intern

Media Planning: Intern will work with Senior Media Buyer to prepare media plans, create media budgets and provide analysis to support the purchase of media as proposed by the Senior Media Buyer. (20%) Media Buying and Negotiation: Intern will work with Senior Media Buyer to negotiate pricing for media in nationwide and regional media plans. (25%) Paid Search: Intern will setup, optimize, analyze and report on new and existing paid search campaigns while working to become Google Adwords Certified. (20%) Campaign Analysis: Intern will prepare reports for clients on the results of campaigns. (20%) Other projects as assigned (15%) We sponsor all interns Google Adwords Certification test and our goal is all interns leave with the certification as well as training in Mediamind/Sizmek ad server and digital media planning and buying. This is a non-paid internship and we will submit necessary paperwork for course credit if required.

Media Assistant

Objectives of the Role: 

The Media Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day deadlines and projects for the media team. The job requires great communication and organization skills. The Media Assistant is responsible for ensuring all Insertion Orders are signed and sent to Accounting in a timely fashion, that reports are completed and delivered to the client in the proper format and on time, that client and vendor meetings are scheduled efficiently and that the office runs efficiently.  The Media Assistant will also assist the Agency CEO directly in managing his schedule and various projects for the agency.
